lamination test

(OP)
Hi, is there anything in ASME about lamination test (UT) on plates over 20 mm in thickness?

RE: lamination test

I would suggest looking into MIL-STD-810, Labratory testing procedures.

Its not a detailed instruction, but gives a direction to go and you can fine tune it for your application.

RE: lamination test

Please see ASTM A-578.

RE: lamination test

maryam,

It depends on what section of the ASME Code you are working with.

Section VIII Div 1 - no requirement
Section VIII Div 2 - AM-203 - UT if over 4"
Section III - NB-2531 - UT if over 2"

I am sure there are different requirements in other sections.
