Mounting LT¦s on vessels

Mounting LT¦s on vessels

Mounting LT¦s on vessels

(OP)
Need some advice.
I have to provide new LT´s on pressure vessels (~4barg)
The proj.eng. wants to do this without a valve between the nozzle and the LT.
I think that is not the way.
How can I convince him?
Or is it okee what he says.

Greetings and thanks in advance

RE: Mounting LT¦s on vessels

just explain to him and let him make his own decision.

"If we have to do any service to this transmitter, we will have to shut down the vessel and maybe operations of most of a unit"

RE: Mounting LT¦s on vessels

euro,

Vesselfab gives good advice.....

Just remember that, like any good boss, if in retrospect it seems like a bad idea, he will say that it was your idea.

I like giving people choices, 2 $100 valves or 4 hours downtime at $10,000/hour for mandatory safety testing of transmitters.  Send the options to him in writting, that'll really get them upset.
