Non-Linear Springs in NX4 Motion

Non-Linear Springs in NX4 Motion

(OP)
Hi Everyone

I have a model in NX4 that I am trying to simulate using Motion. I'm trying to recreate lab conditions so I can pass off loads on the structure to FEA.

Part of the model is a shock absorber whose force-deflection properties have been recorded. The spring behaviour is non-linear, and I would like to recreate this behaviour in my NX4 model.

My limited knowledge of Motion in NX4 has led me to believe that the only kinds of springs I can include are linear springs. I'm wondering if there is a solution out there for modeling the behaviour of a spring whose force-deflection curve has been recorded into a table.

If anyone has any ideas, they would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
