Wanted: Vendor for small composite, titanium, or Alum Press. vessel

Wanted: Vendor for small composite, titanium, or Alum Press. vessel

(OP)
Hi All,
Does anyone know of a good vendor for small composite, titanium, or Aluminum Pressure vessel that would be off the shelf and not custom? Specs for pressure vessel:

-approx. 7000 Cubic Inch Capacity (can be smaller, I can string together a couple vessesl to reach my size goal)
- either spherical or squat circle in shape
-Ports each end
-Tank is meant to be a test ballast tank in a underwater application, so tank must be able to resist seawater on the outside and inside.
-Tank must be able to resist 750 psi pressure on either side of the tank wall.
-Would be nice if there is something to attach to on the tank to tie it down
-Tank does NOT need to meet ASME standards. Tank will be used as part of an R&D effort.

Is their such an animal out their? I have thought of using COTS scuba tanks but am somewhat concerned with internal tank corrosion (even though the tank internals would only be exposed to seawater for a very small amount of time).

Thanks for your time,

Gordon

In your post you state that you want Spherical or Acid Egg type vessels for your project yet you mention stacking Scuba Tanks which don't meet your stated requirements.

Can you use Cylinders?

Yes, I can use cylinders for this project, just so long as they aren't greater than 12" in diameter, longer than 36" long and made out of steel.

I would give these people a call about their Al cylinders. It looks like you will have use multiple cylinders for the capacity. Looking at the CO2 Cylinders their largest is 1.2" too long as per your requirements. The might have something a little larger in diameter that will fit the requirements.

AAMF (aagroup.com) has an SS vessel that they made for obtaining their Cat 2 Chinese pressure vessel cert.  It is a code vessel, but if it fits the bill, I know they would let it go at an extremely reasonable price.
