How much coast PCB Assembling?

How much coast PCB Assembling?

How much coast PCB Assembling?

Hi

How much is the cost of PCB assembling? I know that most of the companies charge per assembling point so how much each point cost. And is it the same cost if assembler will do it?

RE: How much coast PCB Assembling?

Depends on your quantity... for a few hundred boards, expect around 1-2 cents per solder point.

It has to be cheaper than that in China...

winky smile

RE: How much coast PCB Assembling?

Yes, it is, but typically people don't do small quantity boards directly from China, they go through a subcontractor.  One subcontractor I use specifies this (reasonable) price:
$0.0125 per pin for SMD
$0.025 per pin for DIP, PTH components.

My frend gat 3 cents pin point. Is that good price.

RE: How much coast PCB Assembling?

That's for you to decide... I've given you a reasonable range for what I've found, I'm sure others have found similar.  You can certainly do better than 3/point, but it also depends on how much work you want done and if it's worth the search time.

RE: How much coast PCB Assembling?

It depends on about a million different things!!

You need to get quotes from several different places.

The prices they offer will depend on:
number of mixed part types,
any hand work,
number of units,
number of different components,
how you deliver the components,
how you provide net lists,
if any parts have strange pick-up problems,
parts orientation,
solder constraints,
follow-on business potential,
first run or follow on runs,
desired delivery,
delivery method,
even their present work load!

So don't waste your time on guessing, wishing, or asking us, we can't even come close to what you will have to pay.

Just get the quotes!  They're free.bigsmile

Installing a so14 or a resistor takes the same machine time.  What I've seen is 10-15 cents per installed part.  Considerations like mixed technology or special operations that require hand operation also add to the cost and can totally change your end cost.  And of course the volume per lot, since the setup time is the same whether you assemble ten or 200 boards at a time.  Don't hesitate to shop at different places, I've seen price difference ratios of 4 to 1 on prices.
