Hello, I'm a new user to Inventor after having used Pro/E for a few years. I'm having a bit of trouble with sketching. In pro/e I'm used to being able to reference the origin in placement and dimensioning of lines. I've been able to turn the visibility on so I can the origin but I can't select it when trying to add a dimension.
Cheers
George

RE: referencing the origin

I believe the option you need is located in ApplicationOptions->SketchTab->"Autoproject Part Origin on Sketch Create"

Make sure that box is checked.

RE: referencing the origin

...or you can use any of the origin geometry (or part geometry for that matter)in a sketch by using the "project geometry" tool.
