Allowable material colours...

Allowable material colours...

Allowable material colours...

(OP)
Hi,

I'm populating the materials.xls file with the vast extent of materials the company I work for uses and I'm trying to find a definitive list of material colour I can use... and so far I've not found one, what I have found out is the following.

- In an Assembly - Selecting the part you can change the colour via Face Tool. The list here has colours that are 'missing'

- In the exported materials list - There are several more colours here, with (dull) and (shiney) etc.

If someone can show me where I could find an exhaustive list for both the Face Style and the Virtual Studio +, I would be greatful.

Regards,

M

RE: Allowable material colours...

Tools/Material Table
switch to 'Face and fill styles' in the 2nd droplist (Settings).
NB: there is also a third choice specific for Virtual Studio

With this tool, you can generate your material database directly in SE (the file material.mtl contains your data). If you want to use an xls sheet, there is a macro called MaterialTableEditor.exe.
