Scanto3d Problem

Scanto3d Problem

Scanto3d Problem

(OP)
Hi all,

I have a part that i scanned with nextengine scanner and created a solidworks part. Its a complex part so i am using the mesh as a reference and creating the model around it snapping to the vertices of the mesh. I opened my model this morning and the mesh is in the feature tree, but its like its gone from the model. ScanTo3d is loaded, but none of the option are available to edit the mesh. I created the part again just to trouble shoot, saved the part, closed it, re-opened, and sure enough the mesh is gone again. All the files are still in the same places as they always were. Another part i did last week is fine still. but creating this new part is not working. Any thoughts? I have a call into my VAR but havent heard back yet. Thanks in advance!

RE: Scanto3d Problem

I would contact Next engine... as that is where we send all users that have issues using files made by Next engine. Most likely the issue is from them and not SW.

i would of thought so, but the solidworks file with the mesh inside it was working fine last week. I'll contact nextEngine just to be sure. Thanks.

RE: Scanto3d Problem

That would be the first place I would start, so when your VAR tries to send you there you can tell them you already have talked to them.

Following the chain of command is your best defense.
