Does anybody have Sn data for BS s527 stainless steel 18Cr/10Ni (Nb Stabilised) softened sheet?
Also, is there an equivalent sheet spec around (i.e AISI, ASTM, EN etc).

Thanks.

RE: BS s527 steel

The effect of chemical composition on the 300 series austenitic stainless has little effect on fatigue endurance. Therefore for AISI 347 grade you are safe to assume the same properties as AISI 316.  There are SN curves available for AISI 316 on the internet. If you are welding the sheet, for design analysis remember to divide endurance by x2.

Thanks for that, will look for the data. Ideally i'm looking for Sn curves that relate to the material being subjected to simulated acoustic loading. I have data for aluminium and titanium alloys. Dont thin'k i'm going to get what i want, so the basic Sn data will have to suffice.

Thanks.
