Sluice gate valve

Sluice gate valve

Sluice gate valve

(OP)
I have a design for a water balancing tank ,2000cum, two partitions, between the two partitions asluice gate valve is intended to be used,I am wondering in the selection of the valve shape , round sluice valve or square ? I prefer to use a round but I don,t know which one is better ?

The second question is about drainage and outlet pipes from the tank , in the design drawings , the drainage line for the tank is branched from the outlet line , is it ok to have a drainage line connected to the outlet line of the tank . ( Note : the outlet pipe of the tank is suction pipes for booster pumps)

The outlet line inside the tank , at the surface of the concrete base slab of the tank has an anti vortex device , can anyone attach to me a picture for this device, I don't know how it looks like ?

Best regards,
