RE: How to import 2D DXF into an existing UGNX2 drawing?

There are two ways to do that, either directly or indirectly.

To do it directly, while you have your existing part open, go to File -> Import -> DXF/DWG... and use the 'Import to the work part' option.

To do it indirectly, first translate the DXF file using the external translator and you'll have an NX part file with the now converted data as 2D NX data.

Now open your existing part and under File -> Import -> Part... import it into your part.

Thank you for your reply. But I want the art work as part of my existing drawing sheet. Something like a view or a group of curves. I don't know how to do that.

After you import the DXF, save the .prt file then do the part import (File -> Import -> Part) while in the Drafting application.
