concrete in ansys

(OP)
Hi,

my task is to find the ultimate load capacity of concete beam reinforced with so-called rigid reinforcements (it means with rolled beam with I-cross section and height about 120mm - it doesnt meant reinforcement rods...) loaded with pure bending and the results compare with an experiment. But i am not very familiar with how to model material behaviour of concrete. i would like to include as much details as posible (including cracking and crushing). i use for concrete solid 65 and for steel beam solid 45.

ok,...first of all elastic properties of concrete must be provided, secondly i set TB,CONC,1,1,9, values...what is the next step ?

is it more suitable to use MISO or KINH ?

also i read that this can be combine with CHABOCHE and/or with EDP...

Can someone give me some basic guidelines about material beviour of concrete, please ?

also some web resources/examles/references would be helpful.

thank you

lubo

RE: concrete in ansys

steel beam must be represent by shell element shell 43 or 63 because the steel beam is thin compared concrete cover
matrix..............
