We have a situation where sprinkler piping is to be supported from a structure over which moving trains pass.
Is there any data available on pipes, subjected to such vibrations, which tells us as to what levels of vibrations are acceptable so as not to cause pipe/joints failure.

I suggest you move this to forum378: Piping & fluid mechanics engineering.  I think you will get a wider audience there and more likely will get a response.  If you do decide to move the question, either red flag this thread, or post the new thread number.
