shop drawings for pipe elevations?

shop drawings for pipe elevations?

shop drawings for pipe elevations?

(OP)
Hey everyone,

Is it industry standard to require the contractor to submit shop drawings for invert or top of pipe elevations on water pipe projects?

I know shop drawings for pipe material, joints, valves, and vaults are standard, but I can't remember whether it's standard to ask for pipe elevations, also.

Thanks!

RE: shop drawings for pipe elevations?

No, but it's standard practice to have the contractor produce 'as-builts' that show the original design, and any changes to the installation.

Ah ha, that makes perfect sense.  Thanks, atook!
