NX4 IS&V Kinematics rotary table and z/w axis

NX4 IS&V Kinematics rotary table and z/w axis

(OP)
I am currently busy with IS&V for our most common machines, axes, XYZ [linear] B [rotary table] W [parlel to Z, only used as "toolextension" to reach certain area's].
Within postbuilder I imported the ZW commands and made the correct settings mentioned in them. Kinematics model shows proper movement of the axes, but it is not working for simulation. The "easier" model, without W-axis is working fine [same as vertical lathe and ....]. Anyone any tips or tricks for this issue?
Greetings, Bert Claessen

RE: NX4 IS&V Kinematics rotary table and z/w axis

The W is not recognised as an axis by the vnc controller. You will need to add the axis to the vnc file. For instance you could build some code in the preprocess routine to get it to work. Or if you have the time add it to the motion routines.

Jelmerra, do you have an example how and where to add the axis within the vnc. What are all the settings to be done within this file?
Thanks, Bert
