Shear Force along a part section.

Shear Force along a part section.

Shear Force along a part section.

(OP)
There is a part in my model that works as a positioning item, so that it carries the whole shear from the load applied to the assembly. I just want to know the value of the SHEAR FORCE across this part. Does anyone know how to?

Thanks!

RE: Shear Force along a part section.

PPDServices,

Do you have an interface at the location where you want to know the shear force transmitted? If you do you could isolate the part and fix the interface. Then you could look for reactions at the interface. This would give you the shear force transmitted.

Is your problem statically determinate ?
