Simulation Motion In Assembly SW2007

Simulation Motion In Assembly SW2007

(OP)
Does anyone know what rules apply when trying to simulate motion in an assembly within an assembly. What I have is an assembly with mates that has been inserted into another assembly. When I try to add motion it won't move. Do I need to establish the motion in the first assembly before adding it to the final assembly?

Any help would be appreciated.

Yes. The mates have to allow the motion in the sub-assy and when it is inserted into the TL assy, it needs to be set to Flexible.

cheers
