I 've got my copy of API 660 Shell and Tube Exchangers, August 2007 edition.
It went quite unnoticed until now, lack of interest?

RE: API 660 8 th Ed. is out

I've also got API 660/ISO 16812, But I'd like to know if you have at hand TEMA Standards 8th Edition because I'm carryin' out an investigation related to Shell-and-Tube Heat Exchangers based on Steam and Oil. One doubt, is it indifferent the position of flow entrance tube in shell or must be located in one unique location, in the top/under of shell near Stationary Head-Channel? I've this doubt due to I've seen several drawings showing these patterns.

Thanks in advance

Yes, I do have at hand the TEMA 8th edition and I suggest you to procure for your investigation a valid copy of the TEMA for technical references. That will clarify your question also, refer to TEMA Section 1, Figure N-1.2 for the Shell and Tube Heat Exchanger configurations.
cheers,

I'm sorry if my previous replies (questions) or posts didn't follow the rules of this forum. I thought that this forum worked like others recovering old posts to follow the discussion but as you see, I'm new in here.
