model will not rebuild two features

(OP)
morning It's too early for this.

I'm modeling a valve body and two of the features will not rebuild.  I've tried rolling back the model to before the features were added, rebuild and roll forward. No luck. The features are holes that I added using the hole wizard. How can I solve this problem short of punching my monitor right in the kisser?

RE: model will not rebuild two features

What do you mean by "will not rebuild"?

RE: model will not rebuild two features

Can you post a screen shot of your Feature Manager tree?  Are there errors in your hole feature sketches?

RE: model will not rebuild two features

Hello Bill,

Do you mean the rebuild lights will not go away? Did you use top down design for the holes? If so did you open the original assembly and then rebuild?

cheers,

The little stop light icon would not go away.  I don't know what I did but I was clicking around and editing some sketches and features. Low and behold tempermental SolidWorks cleared the stop lights and now it rebuilds. I swear my wife is less quirky than SolidWorks sometimes.

Were those holes added in the context of an assembly perchance?  Maybe you need to return to the assembly for a proper rebuild.  Otherwise, if this happens again, try the CTRL-Q forced rebuild and see if that clears it up.

RE: model will not rebuild two features

Sounds like you have a circular reference. AS Jeff mentions above something in-contexted could cause this or even an equation can cause this to happen. I don't think this is a SW issue, but more of the way it was designed and the time and location the features were added.
