Multiple computersToolbox nightmare

Multiple computersToolbox nightmare

Multiple computersToolbox nightmare

(OP)
I often work on Solidworks at two different place that are not connected by network. (home and office).  When I bring my files from one place to the other usually all my toolbox components get on the default configuration. All bolts and nuts get very big.  I changed the config at both places for the software to create parts in the "copied parts" directory.  But the data I have to transfer from one place to the other get bigger every day. And all the assemblies created before that modification are still all weird. Is there a way to auto create configurations of components at both places?  I am on Solidworks 2007 SP3.1.

RE: Multiple computersToolbox nightmare

No you would have to copy your components from one location to another. SW 07 was suppose to give you the ability to remake the files from the assembly, but if your use Copied parts versus using the master Database, that might be why your not getting that option. However you should be using the master Database files and making changes to that file instead of coping to a folder.

Only other way I can think of for you to work at home is to Do a file\Find references and copy all the files from one place to another.
