FE Meshing Question

FE Meshing Question

FE Meshing Question

(OP)
I am trying to learn the FE side of NX4.  How do I get my model to mesh???  The icon that should bring up the messing options "3D Tetrahedryl Mesh" is grayed out, and I can't get it to become active.  Any ideas????

RE: FE Meshing Question

In Simulation, look at the bottom of the Part navigator to see the Simulation File View panel.  make sure you have the cae_mesh part active to do meshing.  Equally, when applying boundary conditions, you need to have the cae_solution part active.
This is new to NX4, and is apparently designed to allow multiple users to access the mesh file and idealised part.

Thanks scotty7, I figured out some of this on my own after clicking around a whole bunch in the part navigator, but this helps me understand what is going on.
