ID symbol creation....how?

ID symbol creation....how?

(OP)
Hello everybody!

is there any possibility to create ID symbol in drawing
view with automatic text , where text depends on some attribute
of component of selected edge...
as I see edge selected has reference to assy prt but it would be fine found component of this assy ...
thanks

RE: ID symbol creation....how?

try to make...insert parts list and then tools->autobaloon and pick the table...it should put the id symbols to each of your components...

RE: ID symbol creation....how?

You're best to work in master model concept, where drawing and models are separate. You would create an assembly and then add it to the drawing.

On the drawing you need to create a parts list with a callout ID column. You'll find standard templates are supplied with your UG installation and good examples are given in the documentation.

Having done so you then add empty ID symbols with leaders attached to each of the components in your assembly. When you next update the parts list the ID numbers, (you could use letters also) are filled in to the ID symbols.

Regards

Hudson
