Simple guides for pipeshoes

Simple guides for pipeshoes

Simple guides for pipeshoes

(OP)
Is there someone out there who knows a very simple guide-construction for pipeshoes on a HEA beam?
For contractors to make them, not to buy somewhere.
Preferrably without drilling in the beam.

Thanks in advance

RE: Simple guides for pipeshoes

The simplest guide has to be a piece of angle steel, usually 50L (2"L) or 80L (3"L)fillet welded either side of the pipe shoe. Don't weld along the working surface.

I´d like to avoid welding and drilling.

RE: Simple guides for pipeshoes

That will be a first then. You might try configuring something from angle which grips the flange of your support beam like a screw clamp, or use some sort of Unistrut type beam attachment to trap your pipe shoe.

If you want something both permanent and able to sustain a reasonable lateral load, I think you may have to accept welding or drilling.

I know the bernecker and hesterberg clamp type guides.
Jobs are too small to order these, but I think they are too complex to make for the contractors.
The contractors here are in the possession of bolts and nuts pipes and flat steel approx. 30x4 to 100x6mm.
I´d rather use this material for guiding.
I´m starting here to introduce supporting on drawings instead of improvising by contractors.
The knowledge of supporting is minimal.
Almost everyting is fixed supports with the consequences (routing with curves).
