I need to select a small dc fan (5-10w) to cool a heatsink. The fan has to be resistant to salt spray. Can anybody recomend potetial suppliers?

RE: Salt water and Fans.

Hi Colin,
More to the point is do you want your heatsink to have to handle the salt spray as well? Unless it's a "cold wall" type of sealed heatsink, with no devices mounted on the outside, then salt spray will get all over the components on the heatsink and maybe inside the rest of the equipment too!

Do you have a salt spray test specification it must meet?

Thanks BrianG,
It is a "cold wall" type heatsink. I don't have a salt spray test specification at this time, I am working on a fit for purpose basis.
