Retrofit Concrete deck slab for shear & flexure

Retrofit Concrete deck slab for shear & flexure

Does anyone have ideas for an easy fix to retorfit an existing concrete deck to increase shear and flexure?

I have an 8" thick, conc. deck (floor slab) with #6 bar 7.5" o.c. both ways top and bottom mats (7.5'x 12' spans).  In order to operate heavier equipment on the floor slab, it needs to be beefed up.  Any ideas?

The support beams are OK. (even with much heavier dead loading for slab)

Can you add more concrete depth on top with new top reinforcing, with the existing top surface roughened and cleaned to provide composite action?

Two ideas:

Add bonded topping with additional layer of reinforcing.

Add framing undeneath to create two way slab (6' x 7.5')

carbon fiber reinforcing on the bottom?

How about grinding the top to a roughened surface and then pour a composite topping.
