Vault to Feature Tree Renaming

Vault to Feature Tree Renaming

Vault to Feature Tree Renaming

(OP)
I have went through a project on my Vault and renamed all of the parts associated with a particular assembly. But when I open the assembly, it continues to list the old part names in the Feature tree. Does anyone know how to update the names of these Assembly Features to match the vault. I have already went through and deleted all of the backup files on my hard drive, but no luck.
Thanks in advance

RE: Vault to Feature Tree Renaming

Go to Tools > Options > System Options > External References and in the Assemblies section select Update component names when documents are replaced.

You may have to do a Ctrl Q to force the update.

RE: Vault to Feature Tree Renaming

The above assumes that the assembly is referencing the correct files.

I have already checked, the "update component names...replaced" box is already checked. I would have thought that would fix this, but I have had the same problem with other assemblies in the past. Any other ideas?

Is it possible that the parts are not necessarily replaced?

RE: Vault to Feature Tree Renaming

OK ... is the assy referencing the correct files?
File > Open (select but don't open) > References

Okay, the references are all correct. I fixed the issue with a quick rebuild. It's kind of strange though that something so simple would fix this issue after tinkering with it so much.
