Socket or a Butt weld on an API 10,000 psi flange

(OP)
What kind of weld would be a better option, a butt weld or a socket weld on an 1 13/16" -10,000 psi API flange (super duplex UNS S32750)  to a 1" ID tube, 0.118" tk strangely thin!!!(super duplex UNS S32750) which is also rated to 10,000 psi. The assembly has to be rated to 10,000 psi

Thank you for the time

RE: Socket or a Butt weld on an API 10,000 psi flange

I prefer butt weld with RT 100%.

I think if you talk with the welders (the people that have to DO the work); you find that they prefer to do the socket weld in that size. Would be a way easier procedure!
