solidworks 2007 upgrade crashes

solidworks 2007 upgrade crashes

(OP)
My company refuses to purchase maintanance for tech support. I found 2007 upgrade which was sent while we did have tech support and tried installing. Works fine for about 2 minutes then it crashes. Contacted reseller and solidworks and they say its because of lack of maint. purchase. Is this true or does someone have a fix?

RE: solidworks 2007 upgrade crashes

How did you install it? Was it a clean install? While you can upgrade from one SP to the next, you don't want to upgrade from one version to another.
Beyond that, we'd need more information. There's no reason that you should have to be on maintenance for it to work. Are you getting an error message when it crashes?

RE: solidworks 2007 upgrade crashes

It doesn't crash because your off maintainence... unless you can't get a Reg code or get it activated... if that happens to be the case then that statement is true... but if you can get it to install and you have a Reg code or it's Activated, then the problem could be your hardware, your VC drivers or any of the above information.
