display center of mass in draft

(OP)
i'm running SE V19, is it possible to show the center of massin a draft file. thanks

RE: display center of mass in draft

Yes it's possible.

Trouble is you probably want to know how and I can't remember.  I think there has been a post like this in the last couple of months, take a look.

KENAT, probably the least qualified checker you'll ever meet...

RE: display center of mass in draft

First you have to show the center of mass in your part or assembly (Go in the inspect window and click on the show center of mass case) then you will be able to show the center of mass in the drawing view using the properties and showing it the same way you do for a sketch. Right click on the view, click properties, in the display tab there is a button called part list options and then click list all, there you should see the center of mass in the list.

RE: display center of mass in draft

Hi,

some hint: define a line type with a width of say
2mm and assign it to the center of mass. It will be
much easier to spot it -- by deafult it will show
up as a tiny dot which is hard to spot.

RE: display center of mass in draft

Create a new line style using Format-Style.  Choose Line from the Style Type drop down then click New.  Define a new style with a line width of at least 2mm.  Open the Display Properties window and select the Center of Mass from the Parts List tree.  With Center of Mass select only change the Visible Edge style (on the right) to the newly created Line style.
