Can somebody please give a quick run-down of the difference and abilities of the following automation possibilities?

NX Open
Open API - is this the same as NX Open
GRIP
Knowledge Fusion
UFUNC
as well as any other options

I'm not new to NX, but I am new to the programming side of it. Any suggestions on where to start as far as learning the language? Documentation by UGS is horrific when searching out practical applications. I am looking to learn, but I would like to know what is what when it comes to the previously mentioned appraoches. Thank you in advance!

RE: NX Open Grip Knowledge Fusion

GRIP is obsolete and has not been enhanced since V11, except for the new NX3 plotting.

VB is available in NX5.

Do applications like NX Open replace GRIP effectively? Is the same functionality available in drafting the GRIP offers?

RE: NX Open Grip Knowledge Fusion

Since GRIP was put on the "support but do not enhance" list (back around V10/V11), UG/NX Open has continually been enhanced and kept up-to-date so that it has pretty much 100% coverage of the interactive functions.
