getting ConfigurationManager info into BOM

getting ConfigurationManager info into BOM

getting ConfigurationManager info into BOM

(OP)
I'm trying to use either and Excel or SW BOM in a drawing. All of my parts have named configurations and descriptions(ConfigurationManager > right click > properties). In my Bill of Materials Options, I have chosen to display the Configuration Name in a BOM. I also want to display the Description from the Configuration Properties. How can I do that?

I've searched, but most of the info I find is for getting the Configuration Specific properties from the Summary Information or for using a Design Table, neither of which I want.

Does this exist? I'm in SW2007, SP4.0

Thanks,
Matt

Anyone? I am completely stuck.

Kind of ... I still can't pull the property I want, but that taught me how to use another one to incorporate it the way I want. I just hope I'm not violating some company standard by using that!

Thanks for the video (and the site as a whole, I'll have to browse around when I get time).
