Literature on old Kewaunee boilers

Literature on old Kewaunee boilers

Literature on old Kewaunee boilers

(OP)
I have a 1940 vintage LP steam boiler that I am trying to find some literature on.  The only information i can read stamped on the boiler is:

Kewaunee Bulldog Firebox  FE121
Smokeless Firebox #937

Is there anywhere on-line that had old Kewaunee data?  I have Googled it every way possible to know avail.

RE: Literature on old Kewaunee boilers

I can't offer you much help.  I once did a similar search for anything on an old Continental boiler and found nothing.  It was frustrating.  I guess most of that stuff was obsolete before the web came into vogue.  I remember having seen a lots of kewanee boilers back in the day.

RE: Literature on old Kewaunee boilers

You might try asking this at www.heatinghelp.com under "Questions". There are a lot of regulars there who might be able to provide some info on your old boiler.

RE: Literature on old Kewaunee boilers

You might also try the Library section (under "Resources") of Heatinghelp. It has scans of a lot of old literature including the "Beacon Boiler Reference Book", which includes a section on Kewanee-Ross. I took a quick look, but didn't see any numbers that matched the ones you posted.

rmw - Continental Heater Corp is listed as well.

RE: Literature on old Kewaunee boilers

I have some literature/brochures from Kewanee Boiler that date back to the 1920's. I read through most of what I have and do not see "Bulldog" or any of the numbers you have provided. Can you send a picture of your boiler? It is quite possible I can help you out.

RE: Literature on old Kewaunee boilers

Most States in the US are "Code" States and as such there is a requirement for inspections. Inspections used to be done by insurance companies like Hartford Steam Boiler, or Factory Mutual (dating myself with these names). Any how, the National Board located in Columbus, OH now does the inspections.
If I were looking for info I'd go to either of these sources.

They are not the greatest, but I do have a couple of pictures.  How do I attach them to a post?  It's not letting me cut and paste.
