Breaker Time Current Curves

Breaker Time Current Curves

Breaker Time Current Curves

(OP)
Does anyone have a good Internet resource for older breaker units,

Trying to find manuals, time/current curves, and any other information.

I have tried the manufactures website and they did not have anything,

It's for a Westinghouse breaker and I believe that Siemens now owns or at least bought out Westinghouse.

Thanks
Jeff

RE: Breaker Time Current Curves

Westinghouse was bought by Eaton (Cutler Hammer), not Siemens. As far as I know, all of the curves for old breakers are available from them, but depending on how old you are talking about, may not be available on-line.

RE: Breaker Time Current Curves

As jraef says, the Westinghouse low voltage and medium voltage lines were purchased by Cutler Hammer, (now Eaton) many years ago.  The old Westinghouse electromechanical protective relays are now made by ABB.

You will find some old curves on the Eaton website.  See here:

http://www.eaton.com/EatonCom/Markets/Electrical/Tools/TimeCurrentCurves/index.htm

They also provide a means on their website to send requests for technical information.  I've used that in the past to get curve data for old molded-case breakers.

For GE devices, you can always try here:

http://www.geindustrial.com/solutions/consultants/Time_curves.htm

RE: Breaker Time Current Curves

They are hard to find. I have many curves for the type of breakers you are describing. What model trip unit do you need the curves for?
