Can someone tell me what I need to do to calculate the full load current using name plate data of a 400 volt delta connected motor that is to be reconnected for 690 volt star operation?

RE: 400volt delta to 690 volt star FLC

You have increased the line voltage by a factor of √3 by connecting in star, and the line current decreases by a factor of √3.

I don't have an attitude problem. You have a perception problem...

RE: 400volt delta to 690 volt star FLC

Which is roughly 58% if you are math impaired.

RE: 400volt delta to 690 volt star FLC

On the lighter side, jraef, wouldn't that be 58% whether you are math-impaired or not?!!!

RE: 400volt delta to 690 volt star FLC

Does it not show this on your motor nameplate? If it is suitable for 690V connection in star then it should indicate the FLC on the nameplate alongside the 400V Delta rating.

LOL DickDV... lol
