I am planning to take this exam in early next year. Does anyone has taken this exam before? I know this is a 4 hr. mutiple choice and True/false type questions exam. But I don't know where I can find practice questions bank?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. bigsmile

Materials Selection/ Design Specialist

RE: NACE materilas selection & design specialist certification

I took the MD/DS exam more than a decade ago; followed by the corrosion specialist exam a year later.

With the exception of the answer format (I don't recall my examm being true/false/multiple choice, but my memory isn't perfect), the questions were similar to those I saw when I took my Profession Engineering exam (subject matter was different, of course).  Sample Q&A for PE examinations are available.

regarding references, you really need to have a FEW decent references, and be VERY familier with them.  That is,  take a few months of careful study and use of a reference before taking it into the exam, otherwise you'll likely just waste time (I give this same recommendation to junior folk preparing for the PE esxam).
