Coling tower fan blade break and coupling damage

(OP)
On site he have Howden K-type cooling fans for the cooling towers. We experienced a problem of 2 blades breaking and also break on the coupling betwenn motor and gerabox. Take notice that the shaft has big lengths. We did vibration monitoring, only on the motor, because the gearbox is not accesible during operation. Can you help me with some troubleshooting steps on that kind of problems and with some resoursces on the internet?

RE: Coling tower fan blade break and coupling damage

Google the words CTI or Cooling Tower Institute.  They have dealt with the topic but I don't know how available their stuff is.
