Not all the books are downloadable.  Those that are have a "download" in the upper right hand corner.

A search for 'Civil Engineering' seems to yield more donwloadable books.

There is even one called:

"Rudimentary Dictionary of Terms Used in Architecture, Civil, Architecture, Naval, Building and Archaeology"

This might be a good link next time someone posts looking for a dictionary...

The "Mechanics for Millrights" looks like a good read with an opening line like this...
