I believe it depends on what kind of mouse, and what you want to do with it. You could start here: Start->Control Panel->Mouse

Any customising will be done via the mouse manufacturers software, Windows or 3rd party software.

I'd like to be able to choose commands rather than hitting icons from toolbars or using menus.

Who makes 3rd party software to customize the right mouse button in Solidworks so I can stop running threw menus and chasing icons?

Do you mean you want to change the drop down list of actions available when activating the right mouse button? To make more, or less, use of it?

Have you looked into assigning and using keyboard shortcuts?

If you dislike the SW2007 RMB selection, wait till you see the SW2008 version. smile
