Adding a "wood" texture to a component in a drawing

Adding a "wood" texture to a component in a drawing

(OP)

Hello all,

Good day, here is a question. We would like to add a "wood" texture to a component (more specifically, a door) in a SolidWorks drawing view. So that it looks like a door. In a part you can add texture, material or even a decal. But what is the best way to do this in a drawing?

Cheers,

Joseph

After adding it to your part, turn on the shading in the view of the dwg.

Hi Chris,

The drawing can't be shaded. It needs to be HLR as per the customer request. Thanks anyways.

I see. I saw your AutoCAD thread, you want a wood hatch. You may have to create it yourself.

Joseph,
There is a few wood hatches in SW available. However, I just messed around with AEC Roof Shingle hatch and was able to achieve a "woodier" look.
