Surface Finish Help

(OP)

I am reviewing a print in which the surface finish is called out with a check mark like normal; however above the check mark is 18Z.  I need to know what the "Z" stands for.  Is this a unit of measure, similiar to micro-inch/micro-meter or a parameter similiar to Ra?  I can tell you that I found this on a Japanese automotive print if that helps.

Thanks,

jeremy

RE: Surface Finish Help

Is this a CAD drawing?  It may actually be a typo of some sort.
