RE: SW08 Desktop Engineering review

Nice, Scott!

Hey, has anyone been playing with '08 Beta?  I finally got around to submitting an ER for an issue that's been annoying me for a while, but after reading this article I thought I'd ask if anyone knew if it had already been implemented:

I hate that you have to create your hole location sketch inside the hole wizard.  The main reason is that you can't run macros while the wizard is active.  Other features let you create the sketch (or sketches) and then click on the command button.  Does '08 let you create a sketch with hole location points before running the hole wizard?

SW08 is in pre-release2 now and I think can be downloaded from the site. you might try testing it out and see if it does... I don't know myself... haven not had a lot of time for playing with 08 yet.

RE: SW08 Desktop Engineering review

Maybe I'll try it out at home.  I'm kind of in the same boat as far as having time to play with it.  Plus our internet access is absolutely horrible here, especially when it comes to downloading large files.  A service pack download takes 4-6 hours when it doesn't time out.

Whatever it's worth, some of those super-long URLs can be shortened in a blink at urlTea:

Nice tool to use here or elsewhere.
