I am using ABAQUS standard (Implicit) to model elastoplastic materials. However, because I have materials failure (plasticity cannot converge at some points) the model cannot converge. What should I do in this case

what kind of damage nitiation have you used?most of methods are available in EXPLICIT solver.what is the problem you are solving?Is it not possible to solve the problem using Explicit solver?

No it is not as I have a porous media that is not supported by Explicit
