(OP)
Dear sir,

I have a quick question.
What is different between material is produced to fine grain practice and not defined fine grain practice.
Is there any physical changes in ASME code calculation.

Your quick response will be appreciated

RE: fine grain practice

The only calculations that may change are the use of the material for lower temperatures.  For a material to move from Curve B to Curve C it must be normalized AND produced to fine grain practice.

RE: fine grain practice

Material produced to a fine grain practice is normally used for moderate to low temperature service because the toughness of the material is enhanced. Fine grained steel, which is steel that contains a smaller grain size, would help regarding exemptions to impact testing in the Code.
