Code Case 2260-1

Code Case 2260-1

Code Case 2260-1

(OP)
Sorry guys - typo on the previous thread

Does anyone have experience with or has used ASME VIII Div 1 Code Case 2260-1..?

When would you use this code case instead of the requirements of UG-32(d)/(e) and 1-4(c)/(d)?

Thanks

RE: Code Case 2260-1

roca,

from 600 psi and higher, use as much as you can.  from my experiences, it could save 1/8 to 1/4 in. of thk at 650 to 1200 psi in VIII-div.1.  i would do both calculation UG and App. and code case to compare each situation.  like the instructor of asme VIII-div.2 said to his students, it can save you money.
