Editing PDF Output File

Editing PDF Output File

Editing PDF Output File

(OP)
We need to be able to edit the PDF output file that is generated by Compress.

Specifically we want to replace the first page with a copy of that page but with signatures and dates. We print the first page gather all signatures and dates and scan it into a PDF file and try to replace the original with the scanned document.

We are using Adobe Acrobat 7.0 and keep getting the message that the file is protected. Any Suggestions would be appreciated?

RE: Editing PDF Output File

We just send all the signatures and dates on a separate transmittal (PDF).

RE: Editing PDF Output File

I was able to use Acrobat (admittedly, I had version 5.0) to mark-up the COMPRESS PDF reports, delete pages, and insert new pages without any error. The modified and saved report showed correctly with modifications when reopened in Acrobat Reader.

Of course, the Index generated by COMPRESS would need to be changed manually in Acrobat if any sections are removed or added.
