High Perm with Low Saturation Material
High Perm with Low Saturation Material
(OP)
I'm sure this has probably been answered already, but the search is less than agreeable at the moment. I've been looking through the datasheets of a wide variety of alloys but am hoping someone here can help speed up my search. I need a material with a high magnetic permeability but very low saturation level.
The more permeabile and quicker the material saturates, the better. Currently I am using Nickel, but there has to be something better out there.
As always, any help is greatly appreciated.

Razillian: It would be helpful if you could quantify your requirements a little more. You mentioned you want something better than nickel, but that is still rather vague.
However, I will make one suggestion: Try iron powder mixed with an epoxy binder. The iron will have high permeability, but because it is "diluted" with the epoxy binder, the magnetization output will be reduced.

Still trying to help you stop corrosion.

is this for switching, shielding, or a small signal application
why are you using nickle?
