Component only in assembly

Component only in assembly

Component only in assembly

(OP)
I'm using Pro/E 2001

Is it possible to create a component that is stored in the assembly file and doesn't create a separate part file?

For example, I want to add weld metal to an assembly, can I add it to the assembly or do I have to create a new part for the weld metal and assemble it?

I don't want to use the merge function, the drawing needs to show that two separate items exist and have been welded.

RE: Component only in assembly

may you can use Welding application in pro/e or create a bulk part for showing a weld metal
