m135 x 2 internal threads

(OP)
hello - i need to find a table or place on the net where i can find the max./min. dimensions for a m135 x 2 metric internal thread - i have the dimensions for the external threads but inorder to get the internal threads i have to get a copy of the iso standard & i really do not want to shell out the money nor does my company - if anyone would have a link or a website to go to it would be greatly appreciated - my machinery handbook is too old to have the thread formulas either - thank you

RE: m135 x 2 internal threads

http://www.boltplanet.com/default.asp is technically only for UN series.

However they are the same thread form so if you convert to inches it will give you a starting point.

Trouble is I don't know if the toerances are equivalent from metric to iso.

Doesn Machineries not have the information you need, probably not in a table but the calculation to work it out?

KENAT, probably the least qualified checker you'll ever meet...

RE: m135 x 2 internal threads

At least you know the min diameter is
135 - 2 = 133 mm just by definition.
This is the basic tap drill size.

RE: m135 x 2 internal threads

I don't think you will find this information on the Internet.  A 135-mm major diameter is a third choice according to ISO 261 ISO general purpose metric screw threads — General plan.  According to ISO 724 ISO general-purpose metric screw threads - Basic dimensions , the nominal pitch diameter is 133,701 mm, while the nominal minor diameter is 132,835 mm.

If you want tolerances, you would need to select a thread tolerance grade and position, and consult ISO 965-1 ISO general purpose metric screw threads — Tolerances — Part 1: Principles and basic data .

The three documents are available from the ISO Internet site (http://www.iso.org) for CHF178 (USD148).

Cory
