I work for a valve manufacturing plant.  Some of our customers have requested models of our valves to put in their models of the whole system.  Is there a way in SolidWorks to fill in the whole inside open volume to give our customers a "chunk" of metal that externally looks like our valve?

Do a File > Save as > Part and select the Exterior surfaces only option.

Boy... I thought it was going to be harder than that.  'feel kinda dumb now.  Oh well, not like that's never happened before.

Or ... you can save as a dumb solid. lol
