Loads and BC's in Abacus/CAE

Loads and BC's in Abacus/CAE

Loads and BC's in Abacus/CAE

(OP)
Loads:
How do I set a uniform load, pointing down (negative z direction), on the edge of a 3D rectangular plate?

For example in a 3pt or 4pt bending test.

BC's:
If my plate has 6 screw holes (3 on one side and 3 on the other) how do I fix 3 of the holes (half the plate) so I could test the plate in torsion/twisting about the mid axis?

RE: Loads and BC's in Abacus/CAE

You can do this either within ABAQUS cae OR BY MODIFYING your input deck.

To do this in CAE, use the LOAD module for applying loads and Boundary conditions.
